Special Brew was first produced to commemorate the visit of Winston Churchill to Copenhagen in 1950, honouring the Danish tradition of producing a new beer to celebrate special occasions such as a state visit or Royal Coronation. Unfortunately Special Brew’s reputation does not always live up to this incredible story. This project repositions the beer in a more premium space, moving away from can design and into a bottle format. The design aims to tell a more engaging story and encourage the beer connoisseur to experience Special Brew.
